How NoelHatch was created
1. It all started with a mother's monologue

My mother, who has always loved gardening, asked my father to make a Winnie the Pooh stump , and my father made the red stump shown in the image above.
According to my father, he made it without any idea about color combinations or appropriate sizes, but to me it somehow made sense, and I thought, "It's impressive that he was able to create something from nothing ."
2. My father's inspiration got me started
My mother suggested that my father become interested in stump making, and our house was filled with prototypes.
He then had an idea that if he turned a stump upside down it would become a pot , and changed course to making flower pots.
As they continued to build it, the concept and purpose became more solidified.
3. Was the work stolen?! How it became a unique brand

The most iconic episode about our store is the " theft incident ."
When I was a university student and hadn't even thought of the word "entrepreneurship," my parents started this business to prepare for their retirement.
We were serious about the business and had prepared flyers, brochures, business cards, and even order forms.
But that's like trying to drive a car without gas .
I had one foot in the door, even though I had no knowledge of social media, the web, or marketing.

At that time, a relative who liked my father's prototype brought the pot home.
While I was displaying them in my garden , they were all stolen by a stranger .
It is very sad to see something handmade stolen, even before it is commercialized.
I worked backwards and thought, " If it's being stolen, then if I communicate it correctly, it will definitely sell ."
4. High prices are the key to avoiding "buying regret"

I left my job to become a disabled person in January 2024, and the shop opened in October 2023.
What erupted in DMs on social media was the so-called " criticism of people who don't buy the product as being greedy for money ."
I'm not a money-grubber or a con man, and I actually think it's cheap.
The techniques that have been accumulated over the past 45 years are a tradition, and the Yellow Ribbon Medal is a seal case.
This is because we have the confidence that our customers will not regret their purchase and we have absolute trust in our products.
Even the heaviest item weighs less than 10 kg, so even I, a woman with small hands, can carry it in one hand.
After all, my father creates things that are full of charm and potential.
5. The flame of hope and determination that resides in me as a person with a disability

Coincidentally, the initials N and H in Noel Hatch are his parents' first names.
When I realized this, I became determined to spread the word.

The draft of Noel Hatch was written in 2014, the year my father received the Yellow Ribbon Medal.
Coincidentally, this was the year I was diagnosed with developmental disorders (ADHD: Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ASD: Autism Spectrum Disorder) (I was 17 years old and a second-year high school student at the time).
Support for people with disabilities is now becoming more established, but at the time the concept was not even widespread.
Even now, more than 10 years later, I vividly remember when, at the age of 17, I decided that if I couldn't enter society, I would try to achieve results by taking a crooked and unstable path .
Then, after graduating from university, the coronavirus shock hit.
These past few years have meant a lot to me.
This is because I clearly saw my path as an entrepreneur and manager, knowing that I would never work like I did for a company .
If my parents can't do it, then I have to do it .
Without the Yellow Ribbon Medal, I would have had no choice but to work as a disabled person until retirement age.
I am truly grateful from the bottom of my heart to my parents for paving the way for me and paving the way for me.
NoelHatch is my way of giving back to my parents. I will definitely spread the word about it all over the world.
We will be starting from scratch, but we appreciate your support!
